Salary: Starting from £50,189 + benefits (possibility to increase salary via incremental steps in the first 12 months)
Role duration: FTC -one year.
The purpose of this role is to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of creative projects that tell the story of the Academy in an engaging way, to build our reputation and attract new audiences.
The role-holder ensures our creative projects offer the content and experience that our audiences need and are completed on brand, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
A key aspect of the role is to work collaboratively with external partners and other Academy teams to develop productive creative relationships at all levels. The role-holder will also work closely with influential UK and international medical researchers as well as patients, carers and the public to help shape our creative content.
You will bring insight and passion to our creative outputs. You will strive for excellence in delivering high-quality, compelling, inclusive, and accessible digital content to attract and influence new and existing audiences.
You will act on evidence to deliver smart communications that resonate with the public, patients, researchers, and policymakers. You will also behave with integrity to ensure that what we communicate is factually sound and grounded in scientific expertise.

Requirements
About the role – what you will be doing.
* Project manage content creation working with colleagues and creative partners to define project scope, objectives, and requirements using our content production process.
* Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, considering resource allocation and dependencies.
* Create or commission engaging, accessible videos, infographics, illustrations, and animations that promote the work of the Academy to new and existing audiences.
* Monitor project deliverables and outcomes to ensure they meet quality standards and are inclusive and accessible.
* Lead on robust and proportional sign off for creative outputs, anticipate and manage reputational risk seeking the views of others when necessary.
* Manage the Academy’s library of digital assets, including images, videos, and audio files.
* Work as part of the communications Editorial team that oversees projects, scheduling, and resourcing.
About you – what you bring to the role.
* Proven experience as a Creative Project Manager or similar role in a creative agency or marketing environment.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
* Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
* Technical skills in video and digital production, and an ability to combine them with organisational skills and creative vision to produce accessible, story led digital and video content.
* Experience of briefing and managing photographers, film makers, designers, and community-based creatives to ensure their outputs meet our aims and represent the diversity of our audiences. Ability to coordinate and connect multiple creatives working on one project.
* Ability to communicate editorial vision and conclusions clearly and effectively to team members and others across the organisation (influencing both peer to peer and at more senior levels).
* Experience of supporting and coaching colleagues through the creative content production process and champion accessible and inclusive outputs.
* Ability to influence on a peer-to-peer level and at more senior levels.
