My client is currently seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager with at least 1 year of experience to support the delivery of best‑in‑class FM services across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including multi‑tenanted industrial, office, and neighborhood retail schemes.
Working in a tight knit team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, building strong tenant relationships, and helping deliver exceptional service to multiple clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting the FM team in contractor management and supplier procurement
* Supporting service delivery across client portfolios
* Carrying out site and vacant unit inspections with detailed reporting
* Ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements
* Managing and administering health & safety and contractor registration systems
* Instructing contractors on planned and reactive maintenance work
* Assisting with service charge budgets, expenditure tracking, and year‑end reconciliations
* Helping to procure utilities, approve invoices, and manage tenant recharges
The Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum 1 year of facilities management experience in a commercial FM environment
* Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance
* Proactive, independent, and solutions‑focused
* Skilled at building strong relationships with tenants and suppliers
* Willing to travel to sites across the UK (typically within 2.5 hours)
