Hours: 41 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Maternity Cover Until 20/03/2026

Role Overview:
As a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor for Maintenance and Construction, you will join a dedicated Health, Safety and Compliance team committed to promoting health and safety across our construction activities. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will help foster a positive safety culture that enhances awareness and minimizes accidents, incidents, and near misses involving employees and supply chains. Your responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, supporting accident investigations, and providing leadership and support in health and safety matters across all business areas.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
* Membership of a relevant professional body such as IOSH
* Additional specialist qualifications (e.g., First Aid at Work, Scaffold Inspection, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, P400, P402, P405, etc.)
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Health and Safety
* Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and its application
* Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM 2015, and other relevant legislation
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Teams
* Experience within the construction industry, particularly in regeneration and refurbishment of domestic housing
* Experience using Health and Safety Management Systems such as My Compliance
Skills & Knowledge:
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of staff and external stakeholders
Understanding:
* Ability to work collaboratively, influence others, and deliver effective presentations, workshops, and training
* Capacity to convey complex information clearly to non-technical audiences
