Mergers and Acquisition Lead
We are looking for a Mergers and Acquisition Lead to join our Group Technology Team in Milton Keynes. You will lead all technology aspects of mergers and acquisitions with a strong emphasis on technical due diligence, IT system integration, and infrastructure alignment. This role involves coordinating technology financial valuation and legal compliance alongside managing technology integration projects to ensure the company’s strategic goals are met.
You will own the mergers and acquisition process form a technology standpoint, including the technical due diligence migration design, migration, transition to ongoing operations, governance and compliance and regulation. You will apply a product management mindset to optimising the process, adapting to customer input and feedback and using data to prove value and improve the service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead technical evaluations and due diligence: assess systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, interoperability, and tech debt.
2. Collaboration cross-functionally with IT, finance, legal, operations, and HR to ensure seamless integrations and complete integration planning.
3. Conduct system and infrastructure alignments, cybersecurity assessment, and data migration.
4. Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth integration and provide clear progress updates.
5. Monitor post-merger performance and drive technical improvements ensuring system migrations are smooth, data integrity is maintained, and operational continuity.
6. Complete risk assessment and mitigation
7. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, especially in IT governance and cybersecurity.
Experience and Skills Required:
8. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
9. Experience in M&;A, corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or IT systems integration.
10. Strategic thinking with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
11. Technical expertise in evaluation and integration of enterprise systems, cybersecurity frameworks, and infrastructure consolidation.
12. Proactive problem-solver and used to managing pressure, ideally at a scale relevant to Connells
13. Familiarity with legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements in M&A and IT.
14. Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
