Senior Court Custody Manager for Manchester Court Cluster
GEOAmey is a 50:50 joint venture company from GEO inc based in the United States, one of the world’s largest correctional services provider and Amey, one of the largest infrastructure and consulting companies in the UK. GEOAmey provide all court custody and escorting services in England, Wales and Scotland between prisons, police stations and courts. We have a fleet of 400 specialist vehicles, we operate out of 20 vehicle bases and have officers employed in 150 court locations across the UK.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Court Custody Manager to join our court cluster in central Manchester. Your role as Senior Court Custody Manager is to manage and oversee the daily operations of your court cluster, ensuring an efficient and effective service is provided and standard operating procedures are adhered to. Your top priority is to ensure the security, safety, care, and welfare of your employees and those in your care.
In this role you will need to operate at a level that inspires and motivates your team to achieve the relevant targets and SLAs. You will be a visible leader, with gravitas, confidence and the ability to influence at all levels, developing and nurturing relationships.
Key responsibilities
* Gain knowledge and an in-depth understanding of your Court Cluster, the planning processes and wider business systems to deliver a compliant and effective service
* Ensure everyone within your Court Cluster understands and complies with all GEOAmey policies, standard operating procedures and contractual requirements
* Monitor and evaluate the performance and all available data to make informed decisions regarding the improvement of the Court Cluster performance and commercial delivery
* Evaluate and monitor the delivery of services to ensure the health and safety of employees, people in our care and other agencies at our locations is consistently a priority
* Demonstrate and apply knowledge and understanding of risk assessments, adopting a risk based approach in the workplace
* Lead, motivate and inspire Court Cluster employees to drive engagement and commitment, maximising their performance and productivity, creating a positive, welcoming working environment
* Leading by example you will create a team that works together and supports each other to ensure they deliver great performance
Experience required:
* You will have previous management experience with the ability to lead, engage and motivate a team ensuring they strive for high standards, understand the importance of compliance and achieve business objectives
* Exhibit practical knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation and able to assess risk and make risk based decisions
* You will demonstrate high levels of emotional resilience, flexibility and understanding as well as assertiveness, the ability to cope with pressure and the ability to exercise authority
* Able to build and maintain highly effective, positive and beneficial relationships
* Strong resilience, tenacity and desire to succeed within a challenging and changing business
* You are confident, clear and accurate when communicating, demonstrating an ability to positively influence employees and stakeholders and with the ability to interact professional with individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions in a complex and fast-paced environment
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and the confidence to navigate and resolve conflict. You have the ability to remain calm under pressure and address conflicts with tact and diplomacy
* It is essential that you have a full UK driving license
