The Chaplain will promote the vision and values of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, leading by example and ensuring that they demonstrate those values in their leadership behaviours and how we support our teams and deliver our services.
The Chaplain delivers and contributes to the development of a chaplaincy service, offering religious spiritual and emotional support to patients/visitors.
The Chaplain will supervise volunteers and may provide specialist teaching and support to assistant chaplains and volunteers.
The Chaplain may provide pastoral, religious and spiritual support and education and training for clinical teams.
The Chaplain will be required to participate in the on-call rota for the out of hours delivery of chaplaincy services.
The postholder will work with the multi-disciplinary clinical teams to ensure that the pastoral, religious, emotional and spiritual needs of patients/visitors and staff are met. The chaplain is required to support patients of any faith or belief or none.
The postholder will deliver chaplaincy services and contribute to the development of chaplaincy services. The postholder will administer the sacraments upon request.
The postholder will provide supervision, education and training to assistant chaplains and volunteers.
The postholder will organise religious services and manage own workload, surveys and audits as required
