We need an AWEsome Strategy Analyst to prepare, create content and shape activities which inform our direction, strategy and plans. This role contributes to the prioritisation and long-term planning of strategic development activity.
Location: Our offices are based in Berkshire, RG7 4PR between Reading and Basingstoke with onsite parking.
Salary Range: Starts at £44,240, this is very much open to negotiation.
A typical day for a Strategy Analyst at AWE could look like this:
* Facilitating delivery of strategic development, engagement and innovation projects and tasks
* Creating accessible, compelling, accurate and impactful content to support strategic
* Supporting and leading on cross-functional projects
* Identify external influences on AWE strategic interests and capability, including long-term capability health of the organisation.
* Strategic analysis to drive insights, develop options and support decisions.
* Prepare and present attractive, concise, impactful briefing papers, presentations, and any other content necessary to support the Executive, board members and other senior leaders to make strategic decisions and plans.
* Stakeholder analysis.
* Build and maintain a network across AWE to achieve internal stakeholder support on key strategic issues.
We would like you to demonstrate or have experience of:
Key
* Strategic thinking, high level analysis skills
* Facilitation and solution development
* Exceptional presentation and writing skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Can build rapport and engender trust
* Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
* Degree/Post-grad or equivalent experience
Desirable
* Supporting, training and coaching non-specialist colleagues to deliver strategy activities
* Policy awareness
* Project management
* Managing and supporting innovation activities
* Previous experience in an equivalent role - e.g. BD roles, innovation, management consultancy, intelligence/military
* Evidence of relevant CPD in this area
Requirement for occasional travel within UK and to USA
