Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. Responsibilities
* Assist with the fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and components using hand tools and power tools.
* Support skilled carpenters with measuring, cutting, and fitting materials accurately.
* Participate in joinery tasks, including fitting doors, windows, and other fixtures.
* Help with roofing installations and repairs as directed by supervisors.
* Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely around the site.
* Contribute to construction painting, masonry, plumbing, and electrical tasks as part of the broader team's projects.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are upheld.
* Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during daily activities.
Requirements
* A keen interest in carpentry, construction, or related trades.
* Basic understanding or experience with fabrication, assembly, or use of hand tools is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
* Ability to operate power tools safely under supervision.
* Physical fitness to undertake heavy lifting and manual labour tasks.
* Willingness to learn new skills across various trades such as roofing, masonry, plumbing, and electrical work.
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to undertake paid employment within the UK construction sector.
