Offer description

Who Are GuyKat?

GuyKat is a multi-award-winning eLearning agency based in Birmingham (UK). We also have a sister company in the US, based in Tampa, Florida. We work with some of the largest brands on the planet. At our heart, we are a people-orientated professional services company. We help clients use technology to share knowledge.

What Kind of Person Are We Looking For?

Our business is growing. We are looking for great people who want to stay for the ride. We want people who are sincerely trying to find a career rather than just looking for any job. To apply, you must have graduated or be expecting to graduate from a credible higher education institution with at least a bachelor’s degree. All ages are welcome (mature students and career changers are equally encouraged to apply). Whilst some degree subjects are obvious fits for some of our roles, we welcome candidates from any subject area to apply for our Graduate Trainee Scheme. One of our best technology consultants joined with a degree in Film; one of our best designers joined with a degree in History. A graduate mindset, attitude, work ethic, ambition and passion for self‑improvement are far more important than your degree subject. Given we are fundamentally a learning technology company, it is helpful if you have a passion for one or both of ‘learning’ and ‘technology’.

Please note: Graduates from any discipline are welcome, but a premium will be placed on candidates with business-based qualifications.

What Is the Purpose of the Graduate Trainee Scheme?

Our Graduate Trainee Scheme is an eighteen‑month programme involving a variety of placements that are designed to help you:

* Get an overview of the business as a whole. Whatever role you end up doing permanently, you will be better at it if you have a wider understanding of how everything works together.
* Find your place. Many of the jobs that GuyKat offers are very niche. It is unlikely that the careers service at your school or university will ever have made you aware of the types of roles we offer. By working in different roles over the course of the scheme, you will get a much better sense of the direction you wish to take your career.
* Upon successful completion of the scheme, you would transition into a permanent role in the business. We’ll work together to find a role that aligns with your interests, demonstrated capability and our current business needs.

What Type of Placements Can I Expect?

Over the course of the scheme, you can typically expect to complete placements in three different areas:

* eLearning Development
* Professional Services
* Business Development & Administration

Professional Services

GuyKat partners with Docebo, who use a platform to host clients’ learning content. Clients may use the system to train internal staff or to educate customers about their products. There are many different use cases, and GuyKat works with Docebo clients all over the world to help them get full value from their investment. A placement in the Professional Services team will be tailored to the individual and may involve time working in the following areas:

* Implementation Consulting – Helping clients get up and running with the system
* Customer Success – Supporting existing clients to maximise value and adopt new features
* Support – Responding to inbound client queries
* UX/UI Enhancements – Customising the look and feel of the system using HTML and CSS (no computing degree required)
* Sales – Working with new and existing clients to explore whether Docebo and GuyKat services are a good fit
* Whatever the specifics, you will be exposed to working as part of a team on international projects with a wide variety of business types.

Please note: There will be a strong bias towards candidates interested in Professional Services roles, as this is the area of greatest business need. However, you will still undertake the full graduate scheme and experience other areas of the business.

Business Development and Administration

This is a core placement and fundamental to understanding the wider business. You may learn about invoicing, billing, vendor management, cashflow, marketing, trade shows, pipeline management and other ’back office’ functions that make the business tick. This placement will give you exposure to general business management and marketing. There are also opportunities for graduates to undertake placements covering Project Management and PMO.

eLearning Development

There are subtle variations in roles within the eLearning Development team. Depending on your talents and interests, you may focus more or less on the following areas:

* Instructional Design – Working with clients to structure and storyboard learning content
* Digital Media – Creating visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite tools
* Technical Development – Building interactive eLearning using authoring tools such as Articulate 360
* Quality Assurance – Ensuring content is accurate, bug‑free and learner‑friendly

Please note: Due to current business priorities, there are fewer opportunities in eLearning Development rotations for this intake. Strong bias will be given to candidates interested in technical, front‑end, coding or business consulting areas.

What’s the Working Culture Like?

We are a learning technology company, so it would be strange if we didn’t employ people with a passion for learning and technology.

* By ‘passion for learning’, we mean people committed to their own personal growth. People who want to learn something new every day and who understand how others learn.
* By ‘passion for technology’, we mean people who embrace digital tools and stay aware of what’s happening in our industry, without being blinded by trends.

We want our employees to outgrow their current roles. We support career progression and expect people to help those coming up behind them. Everyone has a voice. Everyone is listened to.

What Will I Be Paid?

Assuming your base is in Birmingham (UK), the salary for the duration of the training scheme is £25k per annum, plus healthcare and pension. Upon successful completion of the scheme, you will transition into a permanent role with a salary appropriate to the role and grade. At GuyKat, salaries increase quickly based on performance, with double‑digit percentage increases year on year being common. Virtually all staff have the opportunity to take at least one overseas work trip within their first two years.

When Will the Job Start?

We are hiring in Feb/Mar 2026 for a March/April 2026 start date. The scheme is office‑based with hybrid working. You should be located within commutable distance of Birmingham city centre. During the scheme, hybrid working typically allows for three days working from home per week.

How Do I Apply?

Applications are processed strictly via the Indeed website.

You must submit a CV and a cover letter. The cover letter is far more important than the CV. Applications without a cover letter will be automatically rejected. By all means use AI to help spell check or review your cover letter - but please write the substantive cover letter yourself, using your own voice. If you bang this ad through AI and say ‘write me a cover letter’ you’ll produce something the same as 90% of the others we get. If somehow you made the interview, you’d be caught out there. Be you. Your cover letter should explain what attracted you to the scheme and why GuyKat appeals to you. If your personality comes through, even better! We’re looking for natural communicators.

Best of luck!
