This role is primarily based at a manufacturing site in Stalybridge, supporting operations focused on Rotational Moulding Compounds and Powders, with occasional travel to other sites within the wider group as required.
This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a stable working environment and competitive pay.
Working Hours & Pay:
* 40 hours per week
* Monday to Friday, 12:00pm – 8:00pm
* Hourly rate: £20.00
* Overtime paid after 40 hours at £30 per hour
* On-call rota: 17 weeks per year (approximately 1 week in 3)
o On-call allowance paid
o Call-out fee payable
Key Responsibilities:
* Efficiently respond to plant and equipment breakdowns
* Maximise production output and improve equipment reliability
* Work safely in accordance with company health and safety policies and procedures
* Inspection of plant and equipment
* Maintenance of accurate records for plant and equipment
* Carry out planned and preventative maintenance activities
Experience & Skills Required:
* Proven experience with:
o Pumps
o Pipes
o Motors
o Gearboxes
o Pneumatics
o Hydraulics
* Electrical experience is essential
* Strong time management skills
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Motivated, proactive, and methodical approach
Qualifications:
* 17th or 18th Edition Certification (or equivalent safety certification)
* Full UK driving licence essential
Experience Requirements:
* Mechanical Engineering: Minimum 5 years
* Electrical Engineering: Minimum 5 years
