The Role It is a great time to join the Occupational Therapy Adult Social Care Team at Norfolk County Council. We are seeking a Practice Consultant Occupational Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy interventions within the Older People and Physical Disabilities team (East Place). In this role, you will provide supervision, case consultation and case management, support and inspire team development under the guidance of the Occupational Therapy Operational Manager. Our Occupational Therapy service sits at the heart of delivering the Care Act’s vision. We focus on strength-based practice through functional assessments, equipment provision, and moving and handling to prevent, reduce, or delay the need for formal care services. You will be working closely with District Councils to deliver housing adaptations for our residents and collaborate with Social Work colleagues to co-ordinate and support the Occupational Therapy team, ensuring an integrated place-based approach. You will be eager to work creatively and drive innovation in how Occupational Therapists deliver interventions, with a focus on providing an efficient, effective and value-for-money service. They will embrace data-driven practice, using evidence and performance metrics to demonstrate productivity, outcomes, and service impact for our residents in Norfolk.
