We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Paid Mentors to join our team, working directly with children in primary schools in Kensington & Chelsea.
About Care to Grow
Care To Grow is a charity dedicated to supporting children by enhancing their well being and emotional literacy. Our mission is to help children thrive in education by equipping them with the emotional tools and resilience they need to navigate challenges in life and continue their learning. We do this by training more trusted adults in schools, as we believe that with some simple, yet very effective training, these people can really change a childs life.
Role Overview
Our Mentors deliver emotional literacy support on a structured weekly basis, and are expected to develop longer term relationships with both the families as well as the child.
Essential Requirements
-At least one years experience in a paid role working with children or young people
-Ability to evidence prior impact working with a caseload of children
-A commitment to 2 days a week (8.30am - 5.30pm, term time only, either Tuesday / Wednesday or Wednesday / Thursday)
Desirables
-Completion of a foundation year course in counseling or psychotherapy or equivalent
