Commercial Litigation Associate / Senior Associate
A highly regarded regional law firm is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing Birmingham disputes team.
This is a key strategic hire as the firm continues to expand its commercial litigation capability in the Midlands. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers while playing an important role in developing the Birmingham practice.
The role forms part of a national commercial litigation team of around 40 lawyers, providing strong collaboration and support across offices.
Importantly, the team benefits from dedicated junior and paralegal support, allowing associates to focus on high-quality legal work and client relationships.
The Role
You will handle a broad range of complex commercial disputes, managing your own matters while also assisting partners on larger litigation cases.
The work includes:
* Contractual and commercial disputes
* Professional negligence claims
* Banking and financial services disputes
* Shareholder and partnership disputes
* Fraud and asset recovery
* Procurement disputes
* Intellectual property disputes
* Defamation and reputation management matters
The role also provides opportunities to become involved in client development and business generation as the Birmingham team continues to grow.
About You
The firm is keen to speak with lawyers who have:
* Approximately 4–8 years’ PQE in commercial litigation (flexible for the right candidate)
* Experience handling a variety of commercial disputes
* Strong drafting, analytical and case management skills
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* A collaborative approach and commercial mindset
