Overview

Horizon Teachers is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1–KS2 in a nurturing and inclusive primary school environment.

If you're passionate about helping children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and complex needs reach their full potential, this is your chance to truly make a difference, every day.

Contract Type: Long Term, Full-Time

Start Date: October 2025


About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Provide general classroom support across KS1 and KS2, promoting engagement and positive behaviour.
* Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to support learning.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering creative, inclusive lessons.
* Support pupils with a range of SEND, including communication, sensory, and physical needs.
* Help create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.


What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

* Previous experience in a school or SEN setting (essential).
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
* A good understanding of SEND conditions and how they affect learning and behaviour.
* Confidence in working with pupils with communication and/or physical challenges.
* A caring, collaborative, and proactive approach to working with children and colleagues.
