The Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Buyer Relations to lead and elevate our global buyer strategy at Private Luxury Events and play a pivotal role in launching and growing a groundbreaking new event within the global luxury travel space. This is a pivotal leadership position, responsible for shaping and executing the vision behind our buyer community — the network of senior decision-makers and travel advisors who form the heart of our luxury events.
As Head of Buyer Relations, you will spearhead the development and delivery of a world-class buyer recruitment and engagement strategy across our growing portfolio of events. This includes building influential partnerships, curating high-calibre buyer audiences, and ensuring the continued success and evolution of our market-leading brands.

Lead and Evolve Buyer Recruitment Strategy
* Define and execute a comprehensive global buyer recruitment and engagement strategy across all Private Luxury Events brands, including Ultra, Private Luxury, TFest, Amour, and our new flagship luxury event designed for the next generation of travel leaders.
* Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership to ensure buyer strategies align with overall business goals, event positioning, and commercial targets.
* Set and oversee buyer recruitment targets, ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional quality and diversity across all regions and event portfolios.
Build and Strengthen Strategic Relationships
* Cultivate and manage relationships with senior-level buyers, travel advisors, and decision-makers within the luxury travel and hospitality industry.
* Leverage your network to identify new opportunities for partnerships, audience expansion, and long-term engagement.
* Represent Private Luxury Events as a trusted industry ambassador, promoting our values of authenticity, innovation, and excellence.
Drive Performance and Team Leadership
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Buyer Relations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to enhance their effectiveness and professional growth.
* Oversee recruitment campaigns, prospecting initiatives, and pipeline management to ensure efficiency and consistent delivery of results.
Champion Innovation and Market Insight
* Continuously analyse industry trends, buyer behaviour, and emerging market opportunities to inform strategy and enhance engagement.
* Introduce new ideas, technologies, and engagement tactics to strengthen buyer relationships and elevate the event experience.
* Partner with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging, buyer journeys, and campaign effectiveness.
Global Representation and Brand Advocacy
* Represent Private Luxury Events at major trade shows, hosted buyer programmes, and key industry gatherings around the world.
* Act as a visible leader and advocate for the Private Luxury Events brand, embodying its commitment to excellence and innovation.
* Support on-site event delivery by building and nurturing relationships with attending buyers and ensuring a premium event experience.

To excel in this role, you should bring:
* Proven experience in a senior relationship management, buyer engagement, or commercial leadership role within the luxury travel, hospitality, or events sector.
* A strong professional network of senior travel advisors, decision-makers, and partners within the global luxury market.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing buyer recruitment strategies or partnership programmes that deliver measurable growth.
* Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to engage and influence at all levels.
* Strategic and analytical mindset with the creativity to identify new opportunities and the discipline to deliver results.
* High degree of professionalism, adaptability, and self-motivation with a passion for innovation and excellence.
* Willingness to travel internationally and represent Private Luxury Events at global industry gatherings.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a significant advantage a master's degree or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.
* Professional certifications such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP).
* Proficiency in Salesforce and Airtable, or similar CRM and cloud collaboration tools.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
* Experience with virtual and hybrid events, utilising event technology platforms.
* Experience working on luxury or high-profile global events, with an understanding of cultural nuances and international business practices.
* Additional language proficiency beyond English is highly desirable.
* Experience in leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

* £90,000 OTE (£55k Basic + £35k Commission).
