Experienced Paralegal - Property / Motor Recoveries

Description
We are looking for a number of Paralegals to join our market leading CSG team that works with over 40 insurance companies and self-insured corporates.
This role will be situated in Birmingham on a permanent basis. Depending on your level of experience you might be asked to come into the office 5 times a week before moving to a hybrid model of working upon successfully passing probation.
Key Responsibilities
You are expected to provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to our clients in the management of claims. Depending on your role, and with the support of a supervisor and team manager you will be expected to:
* Be responsible for a varied caseload of pre-litigated or litigated work.
* Screen matters for prospects and liaise with clients upon receipt of instructions.
* Review instructions and provide client advice on case prospects.
* Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards.
* Instruct experts and counsel, draft Witness Statements and other Court documents.
* Maintain contact with our clients and their Customers whilst proactively managing their expectations.
* Meet individual performance measures (financial performance, realisation rates and other KPIs).
* Ensure that the DAC Beachcroft brand and standards are maintained.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
We are happy to hear from graduates or those with customer service/retail experience who are team players and have the passion for learning. Wed also like to hear from Paralegals who may already have experience working in a legal environment.
You will have;
* Prioritisation and Organisation Skills - the ability to structure your time well, prioritise work effectively and recognise when to ask for help.
* Interpersonal skills - communication skills to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues on the phone and in person.
* Analytical skills - The ability to critically look at factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply the same.
* Commercial sense - The ability to know the principle or law but also know when is it worth pursuing it.
* Resilience - The ability to stand their ground in a telephone negotiation and to receive feedback.
* Commitment and enthusiasm - with a professional attitude.
