As an Instrument Craftperson deploy instrument craft skills in the delivery of essential scheduled compliance and routine maintenance, along with breakdown maintenance, in support of plant operations.
You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be located at Springfields Fuel Site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure safe working practices are followed and any unsafe behaviours displayed within the team are challenged
2. Attendance/active participation at daily tool box/safety talks
3. Deploy seconds out for safety and human performance tools for every job
4. Ensure all Permit To Work documents meet the required standard before signing on to them
5. Ensure all craft work performed is following the required standards
6. Ensure all accidents, near misses and safety improvements are reported the day they occur
7. Take pride in the tidiness of your work area, workshops and storage locations
8. Complete scheduled and breakdown tasks while promptly reporting any delays or inefficiencies to the maintenance supervisor.
9. Highlight any inaccuracies in maintenance instructions and risk assessments
10. Ensure the status of plant and equipment is communicated to the team coordinator and supervisor at the end of each day
11. Report the use of plant spares to the team coordinator to allow re-ordering
12. Active participation in the work management systems and processes
13. Participation in Human Performance Event Investigations
14. Attend the annual Safety Workshop, participation in safety improvement activities
Qualifications:
15. Engineering qualification(s) ONC/L3 Maintenance Craftperson or equivalent experience·
16. Recognised craft engineering apprenticeship for Electrical / E&I craft status
17. Knowledge of good maintenance systems and methods in the respective core trade·
18. Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems (preferably), software and hardware·
19. Working knowledge of SIL rated equipment, maintenance and testing·
20. Working knowledge of safe systems of work
21. An understanding of Electrical Systems, associated hazards and basic safety requirements·
22. Hands on experience with computers and software packages for maintenance
23. Demonstrated skill in identifying issues and determining appropriate corrective actions.
24. Integrity to report human error promptly and escalate·
