SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant – Exeter

Teaching Personnel is seeking caring and committed SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to support pupils in schools across Exeter and the surrounding areas.

Role Details
* Position: SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant
* Location: Exeter & surrounding areas
* Pay: £105–£115 per day
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract: Full-time, term time only
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 or small group support during outdoor learning sessions
* Adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities
* Support EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour plans in practical settings
* Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement
* Support emotional wellbeing, communication, and behaviour regulation
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and support staff
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
* Transferable experience (e.g. care, youth work, outdoor education, or personal SEND experience)
* A patient, resilient, and proactive attitude
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
