The Opportunity

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) oversees and delivers a portfolio of programs and initiatives aligned to the Firm's strategic goals.

Reporting to the Principal Business Analyst with a dotted line to the Finance Integration Lead, the role will be responsible for supporting a programme of work within the Finance Department with a focus on process design, reporting design, business analysis, reporting specifications development, and data touch points.

This is a full time, 18 month FTC role that can be based in either our Glasgow office or our London office with hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the analysis, validation, and verification of requirements, ensuring they are complete, traceable, and unambiguous.
2. Gather requirements using various techniques such as interviews, workshops, use cases, scenarios, and UX designs.
3. Facilitate prioritisation of requirements based on business value.
4. Manage and enhance user requirements or product backlogs, and oversee changes using change control processes and tools.
5. Design and document end-to-end business processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and standardization.
6. Develop reporting requirements and specifications, working with stakeholders to define key metrics, data sources, and output formats.
7. Identify and document data touch points across systems and processes, ensuring data integrity and alignment with business needs.
8. Produce detailed functional and technical specifications to support solution development and implementation.
9. Liaise with workstream leads to ensure solutions and plans align with business requirements.
10. Work with third-party suppliers to communicate requirements and ensure solutions meet quality standards.
11. Communicate effectively with business areas to define system requirements or processes.
12. ( RAIDDs ).
13. Collaborate with the wider project team, including business stakeholders, project managers, communications, training, testing, development, and architecture teams.

Essential skills and experience:

14. Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in customer-facing roles, specialising in finance project delivery with proven track record in complex, large-scale business transformation projects, ideally in global organisations
15. Strong numerical and excel skills, with corporate financial literacy
16. Ability to build requirements supporting financial data models, processes, and reports
17. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans to achieve desired outcomes
18. Able to influence, engage, and manage stakeholders at all levels
19. Highly organized, able to prioritize diverse workloads, and work independently to meet deadlines
20. Effective collaborator, experienced in working with remote, global teams
21. Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal abilities to bring clarity to complex operational environment
22. Tactful and diplomatic under pressure
23. Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
24. Capable of analysing, challenging, and modelling new business processes and procedures
25. Extensive experience with technology and IT projects.
26. Proficient in BA methodologies, tools, and techniques
27. Advanced user of MS Office suite, and familiar with MS DevOps, Jira, and Confluence
28. Experienced in structured project framework
29. Knowledgeable in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
