* Salary: £52,000 pa (equivalent to £25.00 p/hr for a 40-hour week)
* Location: Bishop's Stortford - easy access from the M11 junction, near Stansted Airport
* Hands-on role: panel wiring, electrical installation, testing and commissioning
* On-site work: install, commission systems at client locations
* Reactive work: fault finding, breakdown diagnosis and repair
Role overview:
An established engineering/manufacturing business is looking for an Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer to support the wiring, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical control panels and skid-mounted systems. You'll also provide fault finding and breakdown support on installed equipment, both in-house and on client sites.
Key responsibilities:
* Controls work and electrical panel wiring
* Read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics
* Electrical installation of systems at client sites
* Testing and commissioning of electrical panels, skids and associated equipment
* Fault finding, breakdown response and corrective repairs to restore operation
* Safe, competent use of power tools and hand tools
Required experience / skills:
* Experience in controls and panel wiring
* Able to read electrical drawings
* Familiar with power tools and hand tools xsngvjr
* Strong fault-finding mindset and a practical, safety-first approach
Desired experience
* PLCs and HMIs (user/diagnostic experience advantageous)
* Commissioning of electrical panels and skids
* Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment
