JOB DESCRIPTION The Council provides a wide range of employability opportunities for people in South Ayrshire in order to support them in gaining experience, training and employment. This programme is part of the council’s youth employability initiative. We are committed to offering career development opportunities for young people within South Ayrshire and to comply with the conditions of funding from skills development Scotland, applicants must fall into the following categories before the start date of 28th July 2025: 19 years of age or under 29 years of age or under and be a care experienced young person 29 years of age or under and have additional support needs We have the following 2 Craft Trade Modern Apprenticeship positions, and you can select up to 2 trades in your application: 1 x Plumber 1 x Electrician Please Note: As part of the recruitment and selection process, if your application reaches the next stage you will be required to attend assessment centre(s) prior to a formal interview. An industry assessment has been arranged to take place the week beginning 16 th June 2025 for the electrician apprenticeship. Practical assessment centre (all trades) will take place the week beginning 16 th June 2025 with all formal interviews taking place the week beginning 23 rd June 2025.
