Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will also play a vital role in supervising junior staff and assisting with the implementation of care plans. Your leadership skills will be essential in fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support the implementation and monitoring of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Supervise and guide junior staff members, providing training and support as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices within the care home.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as required.
Skills
* Previous experience in a care home setting is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership abilities with a focus on supervising and mentoring staff.
* Proficient in developing and implementing care plans that meet individual needs.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with residents and their families.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation accurately.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary.
* A compassionate attitude towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding at all times.
