To manage, lead, and evolve the Club’s digital and content strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

* Support the Chief Business and Communications Officer by developing and executing the digital marketing and content strategy for Wrexham AFC, working with key internal stakeholders to align objectives, increase brand awareness, and adopt a multi-channel approach to grow revenues.
* Perform any other duties as required.

Digital Marketing

* Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy to support the Club’s ambitions in attracting, engaging, and converting new fans as it advances in the English Football League.
* Identify efficient techniques, channels, and tools to support the wider team in attracting and expanding the Club’s fanbase across all platforms.
* Create impactful and creative content to maximize fan engagement.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Ticketing & Membership, Commercial, Communications) to optimize conversion rate optimization (CRO) of fans’ journey with the Club, adopting an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Manage and develop the marketing automation stack, including CRM, CMS, and DEMs, to enhance digital interactions.
* Track and analyze digital performance metrics, providing reports on key indicators.

Content and Brand

* Oversee the creation of high-quality content across all platforms, including websites, blogs, infographics, ads, social media, email, and video.
* Develop and implement a content strategy to elevate the Wrexham AFC brand globally, leveraging the success of the documentary ‘Welcome to Wrexham’.
* Maintain editorial standards to ensure content accuracy, quality, and adherence to brand guidelines, style, tone, and messaging.
* Design tailored strategies for each channel to engage and grow diverse audiences with compelling content.
* Manage a digital content calendar to ensure consistent and timely content delivery.
* Monitor content performance using analytics tools and optimize accordingly.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead by example, embodying the Club’s values and behaviors, and challenge behaviors that do not align.
* Ensure team compliance with people management policies, applying them fairly and consistently.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure a positive, safe, and supportive experience for all engaging with the Club.
* Comply with safeguarding policies and arrangements, taking personal responsibility for embedding safeguarding practices.
* This role is subject to a basic DBS check.

* Take responsibility for health and safety of yourself and others affected by your actions at work.

About The Candidate

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

* Proven track record in delivering impactful digital and content strategies with measurable results.
* Knowledge of digital marketing channels and the influence of content on them.
* Experience in designing for print, electronic media, and large-format displays.

* Visionary leader capable of inspiring teams and embracing digital innovation.
* Ability to develop and implement content strategies for growth across digital channels.
* Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
* Deep understanding of current social media and digital marketing trends and best practices.

* Strong interpersonal skills to align internal teams with Club objectives.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
* Creative with the ability to produce engaging campaigns.
* Analytical mindset to evaluate website data and social media metrics against KPIs.

* Excellent planning and organizational skills.
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Ability to report concisely and effectively.
