Finance Assistant Location: Haverhill Full-Time | Permanent Salary: £Negotiable DOE We are currently working with a well-established organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant for their team based in Haverhill. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in both sales and purchase ledger functions who is looking to join a supportive finance team with room for growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in day-to-day financial operations, working closely with the wider team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: •Process purchase ledger transactions and maintain accurate records •Match, batch, and code invoices for entry into the system •Run daily sales invoicing and reconcile with the invoicing register •Record incoming payments and complete daily cash receipt journals •Perform regular bank reconciliations (weekly and monthly) •Assist with credit control and customer account queries •Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies •Support the month-end close process •Communicate effectively with internal departments and suppliers •Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed ________________________________________ What We're Looking For: •Previous experience in a Finance or Accounts Assistant role •Exposure to both sales ledger and purchase ledger functions •Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is desirable but not essential •Strong attention to detail and a high level of numeracy •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications •Excellent communication and organisational skills •A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn ________________________________________ This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in finance within a friendly, fast-paced environment.
