The Informatics service is seeking a full-time System Support Lead to join a dynamic team at BCU. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, testing, training, and providing user support for software solutions, including telephone support for all Informatics users. The key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the requirements for new IT solutions and enhancing existing systems by providing advice, guidance, and support.
2. Communicating complex information effectively across all staff levels to overcome barriers to understanding and achieve positive outcomes.
3. Collaborating closely with Programme / Informatics staff and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within the Informatics portfolio.
4. Managing staff within your area of responsibility, including appraisals, sickness management, recruitment, and selection.
5. Analyzing, investigating, and advising Clinical Program Groups (CPGs) on solutions for their requirements.
6. Possessing a Degree or equivalent experience and knowledge.
7. Holding an ILM Management qualification level 3 or equivalent.
8. Having experience in implementing software within large, complex organizations.
9. Demonstrating experience in staff management and team development.
10. Participating in change management projects and process re-engineering.
11. Maintaining current knowledge of relevant local and national strategies and incorporating them into your role.
12. Having knowledge of Clinical, Management, and Informatics processes.
13. Being familiar with financial procedures.
14. Proving the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
15. Being enthusiastic, committed, proactive, and innovative.
Knowledge of Welsh is desirable; applications can be submitted in Welsh or English. The post may require travel across BCU locations.
