We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT CE) to join the team. Roles: HGV Class 1 Nights Shifts: Class 1 Nights - Across Sunday to Friday Hours: Nights- Between 22:00pm- 23:59pm start times Pay Rate : Nights £18.42 per hour PAYE Location: Bury St. Edmunds IP32 Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity of permanent for the right candidate The role: Class 1 Night driver: Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck. Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).. Experience required for the shunting position Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills. A safety-first mindset.
