We currently have
an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Barrhead, AB facility. As a Maintenance Worker, you are responsible for general maintenance, including the facility site, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
* Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
* Troubleshoot, fabricate, repair and install mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with established procedures.
* Works within maintenance and interdepartmental teams when required.
* Practice and enforce plant safety and food safety standards
* Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis.
* Investigate all reports of mechanical and operational problems in the Mill
* Communicate with management any failures found in the Mill
Qualifications:
* Proven mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
* Knowledge of maintenance practices, preventative and predictive maintenance
* Perform work orders, unscheduled maintenance, and task forms with appropriate documentation.
* Strong computer, math, electrical, welding, plumbing and pipe fitting skills
* Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
* Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
* Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
* Journeyman Red Seal Millwright, Heavy Duty Mechanic or Ag Mechanic certification considered an asset?
* Previous food or feed production facility experience is considered an asset.
