A local private school in Oxfordshire is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join its dedicated catering team. Working closely with the Head Chef, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for pupils and staff, while ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving daily menus.
* Supervise kitchen staff and support their training and development.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
* Contribute to menu development, incorporating fresh, seasonal, and healthy ingredients.
* Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships.
* Support catering for special events, functions, and dietary requirements.
Candidate Profile
1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong background as a Chef de Partie.
2. Passionate about producing fresh, healthy, and balanced meals.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. Knowledge of food safety standards and allergen management.
