Job Opportunity: Principal Accountant
Looking to grow your Finance career whilst making a real difference? We're seeking a self-motivated Principal Accountant to join our supportive and fast-paced Children and Young People's Finance Team. The successful candidate will support the Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager in ensuring sound financial services and systems, and providing high-quality financial information to budget managers. This role will support essential Children's Services and Schools across St Helens, including preparing and maintaining Capital and Revenue budgets, supporting the production of the annual statement of accounts, and providing effective financial management services.
Candidate Requirements
* Excellent numerical, written, and verbal communication skills
* Effective decision-making skills
* Ability to work to deadlines and respond to ad-hoc service needs
* Ability to analyze financial data and advise appropriately
