We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead the technical delivery of our IT Roadside product line. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable technology solutions.
You’ll be responsible for guiding a cross-functional engineering squad through the full development lifecycle - ensuring technical excellence, timely delivery, and alignment with business goals.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth with a genuine passion for people leadership. You’ll be expected to mentor and inspire your team, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with product, architecture, and delivery teams. Responsibilities
* Own the engineering capability for a defined product line, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement.
* Lead a cross-functional squad through the software development lifecycle: design → development → testing → maintenance.
* Collaborate with Product Owners to shape roadmaps balancing innovation with product health.
* Drive DevOps practices, automation, and technical excellence across the team.
* Manage supplier relationships and ensure high-quality delivery.
* Provide clear direction, coaching, and career development.
* Ensure effective resource planning, budget management, and governance compliance.
Skills & Experience
* Extensive IT engineering expertise across technologies, with hands-on application customisation, integration, and technical solution design.
* Proven leadership of high-performing engineering teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
* Strong delivery background in Agile, Scrum, and/or SAFe, with a record of managing medium to large-scale development projects.
* Strategic and pragmatic mindset: balance long-term vision with short-term delivery.
* Comfortable operating at or near L6 level.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Confident in constructive challenge and effective collaboration across functions and suppliers.
* Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a hands-on approach.
