Role Overview
This role forms part of the frontline of a multi-disciplinary team working with children and adolescents experiencing a crisis within Hertfordshire. You will provide specialist assessments within the A&E setting, follow‑ups, and short‑term interventions for young people aged under 18 suffering from acute and complex emotional, behavioural, and psychological crisis.
We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our service. Clinicians provide crisis telephone line support, triage, and assessment, as well as face‑to‑face assessments, follow‑ups, and brief interventions in the community. Most referrals come from the two A&E's in Hertfordshire. With our new crisis telephone line, we aim to prevent attendance at A&E when no physical need exists. The C‑CATT service operates 24/7, and this role will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
