Operational Manager Supported Living Services Location: Glasgow Contract: Fixed term, with the potential of being extended or securing permenant post, full-time role (40 hours per week), including evenings and weekends on a rota basis. While the position generally follows standard office hours, the roleoffers excellent flexibility, with the successful candidate having the autonomy to manage their own working diary. What Youll Be Doing
As an Operational Manager, you will provide strong leadership and guidance across the organisationsSupported Living Services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Leading, supervising, and inspiring a diverse team of support staff to deliver person-centred, outcome-focused care.
Ensuring services are safe, high quality, and compliant with regulatory frameworks and best practice.
Overseeing rota management, recruitment, and performance management, ensuring staff are well-matched to the needs of the people we support.
Playing a key role in new service development and contributing to innovative approaches such as self-directed support, outcomes-based planning, and technology-enabled care.
Supporting staff learning and development, ensuring teams are confident, skilled, and motivated.
Building positive, collaborative relationships with families, professionals, and wider partners to deliver the best outcomes for the people we support.
Participating in the on-call rota, providing advice and leadership when needed.
Deputising for the Registered Manager when required.
This is a varied and rewarding leadership role where no two days are the same. Youll balance operational management with the chance to shape the future of services in line with theorganisations strategy.
What Were Looking For
Were seeking someone who brings:
Experience : Proven track record in adult social care, particularly in supported living or similar services.
Leadership : Strong supervisory experience, confident in guiding teams, mentoring staff, and managing performance.
Knowledge : Understanding of outcome-focused support planning, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications : SVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care and Management (or equivalent), or commitment to achieving these.
Skills : Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities, with the resilience to manage challenges effectively.
Values : A genuine passion for person-centred practice, inclusion, and enabling people with additional needs to live fulfilling lives.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between services.
