My client, a leading manufacturing business based in Birkenhead, is seeking a professional Account Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
The position is offered full-time Monday to Friday and fully office-based. Free parking is available on site.
Some of your duties will include but not limited to
Drive sales growth through upsell, cross-sell, and innovation opportunities aligned with client goals.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and demand planning to support operational requirements.
Build strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in customer organisations.
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, proactively resolving issues, handling escalations, and ensuring timely resolutions across supply chain, logistics, and service functions.
Lead and support commercial negotiations - contracts, pricing, SLAs, and volume agreements.
Serve as the commercial lead for projects, coordinating cross-functional teams from concept to launch.
Collaborate internally on cost-saving initiatives, lean manufacturing, and operational efficiencies.
Measure and manage customer service performance, ensuring targets of 95% or above.
Own service performance and delivery of KPIs, ensuring SLAs are in place and met.
Take overall responsibility for each key account, managing margins and customer profitability.
Ensure client satisfaction across products, services, and overall customer experience.
Develop and execute strategic account plans - identifying sales growth opportunities, project pipelines, pricing structures, and commercial development.
Partner closely with the Commercial Manager and Business Development Director to support the onboarding of new business and ongoing account management.
What you'll need to succeed
Exceptional communication skills, thriving in a senior stakeholder environment
Minimum of 2 years with account management - ideally manufacturing
Strong eye for detail
Strong background in strategic account planning, commercial negotiations, and client relationship management.
