Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician Higher Level based at University Hospital Ayr.
What You Will Do
* Lead the provision, coordination and development of Distribution services.
* Train and support all Pharmacy staff and Pharmacy students within Distribution.
* Process routine and ad-hoc requests, update stock-lists, produce training timetables, supervise and train staff, and work alongside the technical team.
* Participate in supporting the provision of the department dispensary service and undertake higher level technician roles and responsibilities, including Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician duties.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
* Experience of working in hospital pharmacy as a qualified pharmacy technician, including distribution, dispensary, ward or clinical experience.
* Registered in the UK.
* Qualification: SQA Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, PDA Assessment & Supply of individual patient’s medicines and the L&D9DI Assessor for SVQ.
Hours
37 hours per week.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership
A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
