The world's supply of Baileys comes from two production sites; Dublin and Belfast. Over 8.5 million cases of Baileys Original and Baileys Flavours leave the gates of these two sites every year, destined for over 130 countries worldwide. This role is based at Baileys Mallusk packaging facility in Belfast.

About this role

At Diageo, we are committed to excellence and continuous improvement in all our operations. As a Performance Improvement Lead at our Baileys Mallusk site, you will play a pivotal role in driving cultural change and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with various teams to implement strategies that enhance performance, reduce waste, and achieve significant cost efficiencies aligned with our business goals. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering an environment of innovation and accountability.

Other key responsibilities include:

* Developing and coaching cultural change initiatives aimed at achieving Zero Stops & Zero Waste.
* Acting as a performance partner to operations managers, shift managers, and Packaging Team Leaders with joint accountability for line scorecard results (Safety/Quality/Cost/Service).
* Implementing and coaching sustainable deployment of MMS practices, leading at least one practice at the line/hall level.
* Facilitating plant and process problem-solving efforts using tools like Loss & Waste analysis, RCPS, DMAIC.
* Coaching line teams on troubleshooting tools to enhance their capabilities.
* Providing performance data to drive continuous improvement activities into weekly planning meetings.
* Supporting line teams in driving an integrated approach to continuous improvement at T1 & T2 levels.
* Leading strategic improvement projects using methodologies like 5Why, FT-DMAIC, Yellow Belt, Green Belt.
* Driving the loss & waste agenda by providing data insights and strategies for prioritizing improvements.
* Supporting capital expenditure projects by acting as the key interface with contractors on asset/process improvements.

What We Are Looking For:

We seek a dynamic lead with strong interpersonal skills who can effectively communicate across all levels of the plant. You will have experience in a process environment demonstrating effective stakeholder engagement to enhance organizational effectiveness. A consistent track record of utilizing manufacturing excellence tools such as 5S, Lean Six Sigma is crucial. You will hold or be willing to work towards a NEBOSH certificate.
