Job Title: Site Communication Lead - (Fixed Term Contract Until October 2026)
This is a site-based role in Irvine, Scotland.

Position Summary
The core of this role will be to manage communications for the Irvine site, a global manufacturing site including site communication plans, activities, channels and messages that align with GSK and GSC’s (Global Supply Chain) business priorities. You will work closely with the global Communications and Government Affairs team (CGA) aligned to GSK’s Global Supply Chain as well as with the site head and site leadership team.
The successful candidate will be skilled at developing communications which are insight-driven, engaging and delivered in a timely, digestible way for maximum impact, that are inclusive and accessible to all employees and aligned to GSK brand and voice. You will have experience with internal communications and channel management. You will be comfortable coaching leaders on their communications skills and supporting external-, change- and issues communication.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute the annual site communications plan to help drive employee engagement and align staff around site-, GSC- and GSK strategy and priorities.
2. Manage the site’s communication channels in the day-2-day. This includes organising all-site town halls, managing newsletters and digital channels and maintaining the site’s intranet pages up to date.
3. Support broader CGA priorities as needed and ensure relevant company news is shared and adapted for local use at the site. Highlight the site's contribution to company priorities by taking part in global engagement campaigns and sharing impactful stories about how the site makes a difference. Create high-impact content to support local site priorities and – operations.
4. Use relevant metrics to measure impact and generate insights to drive improvements. This includes conducting feedback surveys, obtaining qualitative feedback through focus groups, measuring view- and engagement rates of digital channels and monitoring progress regularly.
5. Embrace technologies and AI tools to increase creativity and impact of communication activities.
6. Co-deliver communications trainings in partnership with the global CGA team and advise site head and -leaders on their communication skills.
Qualifications/Skills
Basic:
7. Bachelor’s degree in communications or equivalent
8. Strong experience working in a communications role
9. Strong project management skills with ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritize work
10. Excellent cultural awareness
11. Ability to deal with sensitive issues confidentially
12. Ability to get things done
Preferred:
13. Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environment
14. Experience with external communication, change communication and crisis communications
15. Experience with training and coaching leaders on their communication skills
