Your skill basis will include electrical bias with mechanical disciplines. Your primary role will include:
TPM activities within the glass processing manufacturing facility supporting production needs in all aspects of a continuously expanding company working 24hrs.
You will be:
Required to provide engineering support working within a small team of engineering maintenance staff as well as production team leaders and the QA department
In addition to supporting production you will be required to address breakdowns / fault finding / continuously improving working methods / improve production performance throughput whilst maintaining quality and standards.
Your daily outlook will be to:
Carry out TPM as and when production allows both electrically and mechanically
Conduct reactive maintenance swiftly and effectively
Conduct visual inspections throughout the production facilities
Collaboration between all production departments and quality assurance in providing sound improvements to reduce loss of production resources
Your skill set will include:
Electrically biased but with sound mechanical knowledge [mechanically disassembly – pneumatic control – hydraulic control]
Electrical knowledge of motors – AC – DC drives – electrical components [relays contactors sensors pressure switches etc.]
City and guilds certification – NVQ or equivalent
Experience in reading understanding electrical schematic drawings
Knowledge of PLC controlled equipment
Interpretation of inputs outputs that control glass processing manufacturing equipment
Pneumatic devices
HSE awareness
Projects as and when required both productive and non-productive including electrical installation of new equipment
Working under your own initiative and as part of a team
Computer literate
Good communication skills both verbal and written word
Fork truck [use training provided]
Overhead crane use [training provided]

You will be required to:
Attend callouts [payments paid at current rate]
Flexible working to ensure no loss downtime
Weekend working as and when required
