Simpson Judge are partnering with a well-established UK accountancy practice to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager. The ideal candidate will have worked within a professional practice environment and be confident managing a varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, acting as primary contact.
* Oversee and review statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts.
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and practice standards.
* Support and review work of junior team members.
* Liaise with HMRC and assist partners with client advisory work.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 2+ years PQE.
* Essential experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
* Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with the ability to manage deadlines.
* Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) preferred.
