Role Details
:
A perfect role for a Personable head chef looking to grow, add to their professional profile and experience new ways of working in the sunny Caribbean.
You will be working within an international team for both the restaurant and for private dining events.
The role will be spread over 5/6 days, you will be expected to work more over the weekend when the restaurant is at its busiest and private events are booked.
You will also be able to create and develop new menu ideas to incorporate on the menu to keep the offering fresh and updated
You will have a genuine passion for what you do and enjoy training junior staff in your methods and ways of working
About you
Must have background in premium comparable French/ Modern European high end restaurant operation with experience in seafood an advantage
There are many fish and seafood dishes on the menu and must be competent with filleting, sauces, Carpaccios, tatars
Un fazed by provisioning and shopping
Highly organized
French speaker and advantage
Knowledge of wines and deli operation also a plus
You will report to the owner, collaborate on the menu who also has a second very successful operation
In this role a flexible and adapatable mindset is required with a sense of humour
You will have a stable working history with excellent check able references
Able to maintain professionalism under pressure
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Will have a calm professional demeanour and a passion for delivering great product, open minded and enjoys working within a multicultural environment

Standard International benefits to also include cottage accommodation on the Island ( own bedroom and kitchen 2 mins from the beach) and near the place of work, use of car provided (must be have a valid Driving license)

Salary uk equiv 36 k ( dependent on experience)- plus apartment
