Teaching Assistant

Our new AP aims to provide tailored educational experiences, helping young people build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their academic potential. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in creating a safe, structured, and motivating learning atmosphere.
Position: Teaching Assistant - September start date
Role Overview
The Teaching Assistant role is designed to support students on an individual or group basis, providing guidance and encouragement to overcome academic, social, and emotional challenges. You'll work closely with teaching staff to design and implement intervention strategies, ensuring every student feels seen, heard, and motivated to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement individual support plans tailored to each student's needs.
* Facilitate one-on-one or small-group sessions to support students' emotional well-being and academic growth.
* Identify and address barriers to learning, helping students navigate personal challenges and build resilience.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to track progress and ensure holistic support.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in a mentoring, educational, or pastoral role is preferred.
* Full driving license preferred not mandatory/essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy for students facing challenges.
* Ability to work with a range of students, including those with behavioral or emotional difficulties.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
