Overview
Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager role at TieTalent, based in Merseyside. This is an Estimator heavy position with the opportunity to grow into a Pre-Construction Manager role within an established new build housing business.
Responsibilities
* Review tender packages and determine whether to bid.
* Lead the bid process as the single point of contact for all involved teams, including periodic work with land teams on feasibility.
* Develop Bills of Quantities beyond high-level budgets and create a high-level tender programme to hand over to the Site team.
* Develop a cost database for strategic benchmarking of market costs over the long term.
* Initially act as Pre-Construction Manager and Estimator, working with the Construction Director and Commercial Director.
* Contribute to building an end-to-end process that influences business wins for years to come.
* Possibly lead Pre-Construction activities even if you are primarily an Estimator, depending on fit.
* Manage your own department with a degree of autonomy and influence over projects, including a prominent 35 million value hi-rise project starting in 14 months.

Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience as an Estimator with the capability to lead Pre-Construction activities.
* Ability to form strategy on bids, manage the bid process, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Interest in developing cost databases and long-term cost benchmarking capabilities.
* Strong fit for a small but flexible business with emphasis on character and collaboration.
