Our client is a leading global business delivering innovative engineering and design solutions across major international projects.

Job Description

3. Collaborate with other business support functions to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
4. Assist in developing and refining internal systems and processes to improve legal and commercial team efficiency.
5. Contribute to internal training initiatives on commercial and contractual topics.
6. Provide strategic legal input on contentious issues, identifying commercial opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
7. Support the resolution of claims and disputes, including insurer liaison, negotiation, and pre-action correspondence, while contributing to overall case strategy.
8. Oversee claims management within the business unit and contribute to broader risk oversight across regional and global operations.
9. Enable senior stakeholders to report effectively on dispute status to executive leadership.
10. Advise on corporate governance matters to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
11. Deliver responsive legal and commercial advice on an ad-hoc basis.
12. Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Disputes Solicitor should have:

13. Qualified solicitor status with expertise in dispute resolution or litigation.
14. Strong background in construction law disputes; experience with construction insurance is advantageous.
15. Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
16. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
17. Capability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
18. Proven experience in both formal and informal dispute resolution, including negotiation.
19. Skilled in advising on contract management and proactive dispute avoidance.
20. Legally qualified with circa 2-6 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
21. Commercially minded team player with a collaborative approach to achieving service goals.
22. Confident presenter with effective communication skills.
