Bryanston has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Sport graduate or coach to assist with our Rugby provision, initially for one year.
This role is ideally suited for a Sport graduate with experience as a player or early-career coach in Rugby, who is interested in exploring the teaching profession and gaining experience in the large and thriving Sport and Physical Education Department of a busy co-ed boarding school.
Bryanston is a world-class co-educational full-boarding school surrounded by Dorset countryside, providing outstanding education for 780 pupils aged 3-18. Sport is central to student life, with core sports including football, rugby, hockey, cricket, netball, tennis, equestrian, and rowing. The school has a history of pupils playing at national levels and is a satellite Centre for TeamBath Netball. Our sports facilities are exceptional, including pitches, an equestrian centre, rowing on the river Stour, tennis courts, a climbing tower, indoor bouldering wall, and sports centre.
The role involves residing in staff accommodation and playing a key role in running the boarding house. There is a vibrant community of staff on-site, many of whom undertake residential duties. Full induction and support will be provided. Although initially a one-year appointment, there may be opportunities for extension as part of our PGCE teacher training programme.
Bryanston Offers a Competitive Package, Including:
* Free accommodation
* Free meals
* Training and development opportunities
* Free gym membership and access to state-of-the-art sports facilities, including a 25m indoor swimming pool
* Life assurance at 3 times salary
* Employee assistance and wellbeing support
* A staff benefits platform with perks, discounts, travel, lifestyle options, cycle scheme, and more
The welfare of Bryanston pupils is paramount. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers share this commitment. Bryanston celebrates diversity and promotes a culture of inclusion, standing against discrimination and upholding British values.
Applicants will undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). An online search will be conducted for shortlisted candidates. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and the school may request disclosure of all convictions and cautions to assess suitability to work with children.
