Role Overview
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Pharmacy Department at East Cheshire NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team of Assistant Technical Officers within the Pharmacy Stores Department. The successful applicant will support the delivery of safe, timely, appropriate, and high-quality pharmaceutical services for patients and staff, and assist in the distribution of medicines to hospital wards and clinics across the Trust.
Full training will be provided in all areas, with the opportunity to work towards a Pharmacy Assistant qualification, supporting both professional development and career progression. Hours per week: 37.5.

To assist in the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients at East Cheshire NHS Trust by providing a safe, efficient, and effective dispensary and distribution service, with opportunities for personal development and progression.
Responsibilities
This is a varied and interesting role with responsibilities across several areas:
* Ward Services – Stock top‑ups and management of medication returns
* Distribution – Processing orders and to‑follows; Picking and packing orders using the pharmacy robot; Preparing orders for wards and external customers (under an MHRA licence); Temperature monitoring and management of bulk fluids
* Goods Receipt – Signing for and booking in deliveries; Managing incorrect or missing goods; Troubleshooting and loading the pharmacy robot
* Reception (cover) – Greeting patients and staff; Booking in prescriptions; Filing prescriptions accurately
