We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy maintenance workshop. This is a leadership-focused role responsible for coordinating workloads, managing workshop schedules, and supporting a team of technicians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
* Book work into the workshop, plan workloads, and ensure all jobs are prioritised and completed on schedule
* Coordinate daily activities across the workshop, balancing planned maintenance, urgent repairs, and customer requirements
* Provide clear direction, support, and leadership to workshop staff
* Monitor job progress, identify delays, and take action to keep work flowing efficiently
* Maintain accurate records, schedules, and job updates
Requirements
Essential
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to lead and motivate a team
* Calm, structured, and able to make decisions to keep operations moving
* Good administrative and record keeping skills
* Experience in a supervisory, coordination, or people management role
* Proactive, solutions focused, and able to work under pressure
Desirable
* Understanding of HGVs, plant machinery, or workshop environments is beneficial
