You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation to ensure smooth service in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Key Responsibilities Operate industrial dishwashers and clean crockery, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, surfaces, and storage areas Support chefs with basic food preparation (e.g. washing vegetables, peeling, portioning) Assist with setting up and clearing down kitchens for service, functions, and banquets Dispose of waste safely and correctly, following hotel recycling and food waste procedures Ensure cleaning schedules and hygiene standards are met at all times Re‑stock kitchen areas with clean equipment during busy service Follow all health & safety, food hygiene, and hotel cleanliness standards Work safely under pressure during peak service times Skills and Experience Essential Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Strong understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards Reliable, punctual, and physically fit Able to work well as part of a large kitchen team Desirable Previous experience in a hotel, banqueting, or high‑volume kitchen Basic food safety or health & hygiene knowledge Personal Attributes Positive attitude and strong work ethic Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays Willingness to support different kitchen areas as required Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
