This firm’s outsourcing department plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional client service and underpins the success of the wider business. You’ll be joining a team of talented bookkeepers, management accountants, and payroll administrators, where your skills will be highly valued, and your development supported. The Role As a Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll take ownership of your workload and play an integral part in supporting and guiding the team. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out bookkeeping duties for a diverse portfolio of clients using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and ClearBooks Supporting clients with software and bookkeeping queries Liaising with clients to ensure timely submission of records and VAT Returns Managing and submitting VAT Returns and CIS Returns Completing bookkeeping to trial balance, including bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, and more Preparing relevant schedules and financial reports Helping to prioritise team workflows and address any day-to-day issues or queries Requirements About You To succeed in this role, you will be: An experienced bookkeeper with 5 years of experience, ideally within an accountancy practice Confident using cloud-based software (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.) A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills Well-versed in VAT legislation and compliance Able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines A team player with a proactive approach and keen attention to detail Benefits What’s on Offer Competitive salary dependent on experience Company pension scheme Cycle to work scheme Free annual flu vaccinations Flexible start/finish times to support work-life balance Clear progression routes and development opportunities within a highly supportive team Hybrid working options available Minimum of 25 hours a week If you are interested in this opportunity, please do not hesitate to get in contact with Mark Sitton, Senior Recruitment Consultant for a confidential conversation.
