Providing assessment,screening and treatment services and health education advice
Provide nursing treatments to patients inparticipation with general practitioners or independently to agreed protocols.
Provide general and specific health screeningsto the Practice patients (within agreed protocols) with referral to generalpractitioners as necessary.
Advisepatients on general health care and minor ailments with referral to GPs asnecessary.
Pathological specimens andinvestigatory procedures
Following appropriate training, undertake thecollection, storage and despatch of pathological specimens includingintravenous blood samples, swabs, smears etc and ensure the cleanliness of anyequipment so used, Perform any investigatory procedures requested by the GPs.
Administrative andprofessional responsibilities
Participate in the administrative andprofessional responsibilities of the Practice team.

be autonomous in making decisions based onassessment, diagnosis and interpretation of test results
be able to work within own scope of practice andunderstand when to refer to GPs
be able to evaluate or refer where appropriate toother specialists if necessary
work collaboratively with the rest of the practicestaff to ensure patients needs are met

The team consists of 3 Partners and 4Salaried GPs working alongside a team of Nurses, HCAs, Receptionists and AdminStaff. The practice is supported by PCN Pharmacists and Physician Associates.We are looking for someone hardworking to join our friendly team.
