37 hours per week. Temporary until 31/03/2027.

Based within the Housing Support and Sustainment Team at Ruthin Road, and working across Wrexham County Borough, the post delivers housing-related support in line with the Welsh Government’s Housing Support Grant Programme in order to help vulnerable tenants to develop or maintain the skills and confidence needed to sustain independent living and prevent homelessness.

The post involves assessing eligibility and need for support; developing and agreeing support plans with tenants, delivering individually tailored support in accordance with agreed plans; and regularly reviewing and updating support plans with the tenant, including exit plans for tenants who are ready to move on from the service.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with at least two years’ experience of working in housing, social services or a similar client-based field including experience of working with vulnerable people; and a basic knowledge of Housing and / or Social Care legislation.

An understanding of mental health, social services and other support agencies within the public and voluntary sector is also desirable.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
