We’re looking for reliable and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools in Crawley and nearby areas. You’ll be supporting pupils who may find it difficult to engage in lessons, struggle with behaviour, or need help managing their emotions—ensuring they feel secure, understood, and ready to learn. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Supporting pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional needs Using calm, supportive approaches to de-escalate challenging situations Helping students remain focused and engaged in their work Building positive, trusting relationships to promote good behaviour Providing 1:1 or small‑group support to aid emotional regulation and routine Assisting teachers in maintaining behaviour expectations in the classroom Adapting to different school environments, age groups, and individual needs What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children or young people (schools, coaching, youth work, care, etc.) A patient, calm, and confident approach to behaviour support Strong relationship‑building and communication skills Resilience and the ability to adapt quickly Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Genuine enthusiasm for helping pupils overcome difficulties Why Work with Supply Desk?
